Start with a Line

Start with a Line was an exploration of, and celebration of, drawing in all its variations by five North Shore artists: Margaret Boyle, Cath Dalton, Archan Knotz, Norene Smiley, Pamela Swainson.

Rooted in divergent styles of visual expression, the five participating artists shared an interest in the exploration of line. Our common engagement with mark making intensified our relationship with, and experience of, the subject. matter  We communicated our experiences with printmaking, painting, abstraction and drawing.
