The Peace Show

The Peace Hall, Pugwash, NS with the Pugwash Artist Collective

For this peace-themed group show, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and play with painting on fibre with rusted metal. I explored mark making on raw cotton and the beauty of found objects, as a meditation on transience in nature. The piece grew to become an installation, affected by the air movement as people walked around the room.

This was a two-day exhibit hosted by the Pugwash Artist Collective in the newly refurbished Mason’s Hall, renamed appropriately, The Peace Hall, in Pugwash.
